Victoria, BC- The Victoria Royals were defeated 4-1 by the Kelowna Rockets on Friday night, and now trail the best-of-seven series 3-2.
The Rockets' Tyson Baillie recorded the game-winner, before Justin Kirkland and Rourke Chartier (empty net) added to their lead in the third period. The Royals' lone marker was tallied by Matthew Phillips. Kelowna's other goal was registered by Chartier.
Victoria goaltender Coleman Vollrath stopped 21 of the 24 shots fired his way. Rockets' netminder Michael Herringer turned aside 28 of the 29 shots he faced.
The Royals went 0/50.0% on the powerplay, while the Rockets held a 1/333.3% mark.
Victoria will now head to Kelowna to face the Rockets for Game 6 on Sunday with puck drop set for 5:00 p.m.
