Reading, PA - The Reading Royals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, announced Tuesday the team has claimed D Scott Dornbrock off waivers. The rookie graduated from Miami University in 2018 and signed with Idaho Sept. 12. A 24-year-old native of Harper Woods, MI, Dornbrock posted one goal and eight points with the Redhawks last season. Dornbrock scored 35 points (6g) and recorded 98 PIM over four NCAA seasons. As a sophomore, Dornbrock qualified for the NCHC All-Academic Team. The next season, 2016-17, was his most-prolific offensively (3g, 10a).
