Royals Announce Playoff Roster

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced the team's 2011 ECHL Kelly Cup Playoff Roster. The Royals playoff roster is comprised of twenty-three players: thirteen forwards, eight defensemen, and two goaltenders. The playoff roster is set out below.

The Royals best-of-five Eastern Conference Quarter-Final Playoff Series against the Cincinnati Cyclones, which will be played in a two-two-one format, kicks off on Tuesday, April 5 (7:05 pm), at Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania. Game Two will be at the Sovereign Center on Wednesday, April 6 (@7:05 pm). The series will then move to U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio, for Games Three and Four (if necessary), on Friday and Saturday (April 8 and 9). If necessary, the series will return to the Sovereign Center for Game Five on Monday, April 11 (@7:05 pm).

The Royals kick off the Kelly Cup Playoffs with Game One of the best-of-five Eastern Conference Quarter-Final series against the Cincinnati Cyclones on Tuesday, April 5 @ 7:05 pm at the Sovereign Center. The game night broadcast will kick off with the pre-game warm-up show presented by The Works at Wyomissing at 6:35 pm on WRAW 1340 am and on the internet at www.1340wraw.com. You can also catch all of the Royals away games this season on Royals TV exclusively on BCTV courtesy of Boscov's Travel, and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
