RIDERS WELCOME THIRD-LARGEST CROWD IN CLUB HISTORY

OFFICIAL ATTENDANCE OF 11,897 MOST AT DR PEPPER BALLPARK SINCE 2015

FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco RoughRiders welcomed the third-largest crowd in franchise history tonight with 11,897 fans packing sold-out Dr Pepper Ballpark against the San Antonio Missions.

The RoughRiders' five largest crowds and 10 of the top 12 have come since 2015, RoughRiders' General Partner & CEO Chuck Greenberg's first full season leading the franchise. Tonight's attendance was the largest of the season and the most since 11,915 fans turned out to Dr Pepper Ballpark on May 8, 2015. The top three crowds, incidentally, are against San Antonio.

"Tonight at Dr Pepper Ballpark represented the best of what a fun, affordable night out with the Frisco RoughRiders has to offer, and we're thrilled that one of the largest crowds in the 15-year history of the franchise was on hand to make it even more special," Greenberg said. "The remarkable fact that the five largest crowds, and ten of the top 12, in team history have been recorded since the beginning of the 2015 season underscores the tremendous affinity that fans from all over the Metroplex have for the RoughRiders and we're excited to continue to build many more special nights at the ballpark."

The Riders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, took the field against San Antonio as Los Jinetes in honor of Cinco de Mayo. Special jerseys emblazoned with "Los Jinetes" featured several elements celebrating Mexican culture, including a serape pattern on the back, images from the Mayan calendar and a Mexican Sugar Skull on the right sleeve.

Single-game tickets, season tickets, special ticket packages and tickets for the Texas League All-Star Game on June 27 are available at RidersBaseball.com, (972) 731-9200 and the RoughRiders Ticket Office.

About the Frisco RoughRiders

The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers and play their games at beautiful Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The team was founded in 2003 and has finished first among all Double-A franchises in attendance in each of the last 12 seasons (2005-2016). In August 2014, the RoughRiders were purchased by an ownership group led by Chuck Greenberg. The new ownership group, together with the city of Frisco, has spearheaded numerous major franchise improvements over the past two seasons, investing more than $8 million in a wide array of facility upgrades and improvements, including a new state-of-the-art HD video board, sound system, Bull Moose Saloon, InTouch Grille, Riders Outpost Team Store, and the newest and biggest creation, the 174-foot Choctaw Lazy River. The upgrades made prior to the 2015 season earned the Riders and the City of Frisco "Best Ballpark Renovation" of 2015 by Ballpark Digest. The same publication also honored the Choctaw Lazy River as the best ballpark improvement over $1 million for the 2016 season. More than 140 former RoughRiders players have gone on to play Major League Baseball, including All-Stars Chris Davis, Adrian Gonzalez, Ian Kinsler, and Nelson Cruz, as well as current Rangers stars Elvis Andrus, Rougned Odor, and Nomar Mazara.
