Frisco RoughRiders News Release

FRISCO, TEXAS - The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Rangers, are thrilled to announce that the first-ever weekend-night pool party in the world-renown Choctaw Lazy River will take place on Saturday, August 20 at Dr Pepper Ballpark, when the RoughRiders host the Tulsa Drillers (Los Angeles Dodgers). For the first and only time this season, the Choctaw Lazy River will be open to fans for individual ticket purchases on a Saturday for the club's first Saturday Night Pool Party.

Beginning now, Saturday Night Pool Party tickets are available to the first 200 individuals for purchase. For only $39 per ticket, a Saturday Night Pool Party ticket allows individuals to enjoy full 360-degree Lazy River access, pre-game live music, and all-you-can-eat hot dogs, brats, chips, peanuts, and Dr Pepper products.

Adults 21+ can enjoy complimentary Palm Breeze samples along with great drink specials at either cabana inside the Lazy River.

Saturday, August 20 is also Star Wars Night at Dr Pepper Ballpark, and fans at the Saturday Night Pool Party can look down from the Choctaw Lazy River on the team, who will be wearing Storm Trooper-inspired jerseys and hats.

Filled with over 68,000 gallons of water and complete with 18-foot water curtains and a 113-linear-foot waterfall, the Choctaw Lazy River is the largest body of water in a professional sports venue. The lazy river itself is large enough to fit over 1 million baseballs and nearly a half-million bottles of Dr Pepper. Dirk Nowitzki christened the Choctaw Lazy River when it opened in June, calling it "awesome" after floating around the 400-foot figure-eight.

Gates for the Saturday Night Pool Party will open at 6:00 p.m. for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch.
