Cedar Rapids, Iowa- The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders\' Kent Patterson has been named Stauber\'s Goalcrease United States Hockey League Goaltender of the Week.
Patterson, 18, stopped 62 of the 64 shots he faced while backstopping the RoughRiders to a pair of wins last weekend. The Plymouth, Minnesota, native posted his first shutout of the season last Friday, making 26 saves in the Riders\' 3-0 win over Sioux City. One night later Patterson turned aside 36 shots as the Riders defeated the Lincoln Stars 4-2.
Patterson has gone 8-5-0 in 16 games this season, turning in a 2.57 goals against average and a .907 save percentage. He missed the first two months of the campaign following sports hernia surgery.
Last season Patterson was named to the USHL All-Rookie Team. He went 20-5-3 in 29 games last year and finished second in the league in save percentage (.913) and seventh in goals against average (2.91) and wins while posting a pair of shutouts. Last June Patterson was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the fourth round of the National Hockey League draft with the one hundred thirteenth overall pick. The RoughRiders (30-19-3, 63 points) are currently in third place in the USHL\'s East Division. The Riders return to action with a pair of home games this weekend. The Riders take on the Indiana Ice Friday night and the Tri-City Storm Saturday evening. Both games face off at 7:05PM.

The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Ticket prices range from $7 to $17 in advance and from $8 to $18 on game days.
