Roughnecks Fall to Rush

Saskatoon, SK - Six second-quarter goals by Zack Greer propelled the Saskatchewan Rush to a 19-12 triumph over the Calgary Roughnecks on Friday evening at SaskTel Centre.

Greer added a goal and two assists to finish the night with a game-leading nine points as the defending NLL champions improve to 3-1 on the season. Robert Church (3), Ben McIntosh (3), Curtis Knight (2), Mark Matthews (2), Chris Corbeil and Jeff Cornwall also scored for Saskatchewan.

Calgary, who last conceded 19 goals in 2011, received tallies from Curtis Dickson (4), Dane Dobbie (3), rookie Wesley Berg (2), Jeff Shattler (2) and Tyler Digby.

The Roughnecks, now 2-3, return to the Scotiabank Saddledome tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 6, for a match against the Georgia Swarm (7:00 p.m., FOX Sports GO). Fans are encouraged to arrive in costume for Superhero Night, presented by Pete the Plumber. Prizes for the best superhero attire will be given out throughout the contest.
