ODESSA, TX. With only 20 prestigious slots to fill on the 2005 Odessa Roughnecks, judges had difficult choices to make. A judges panel of local celebrities and corporate partners of the Roughnecks chose from an extensive list of ladies including many of last years 2004 dance team, a former Miss Ector County, and a former Miss Odessa. Dancers from Odessa, Midland, Crane, Andrews, and Gardendale attended the grueling two hour tryout. All the young ladies did an excellent job, its hard to perform in front of hundreds of people but every single young lady put her best foot forward. The judges had a very grueling decision to make, stated SHOUT choreographer Welton Blaylock.
