Roster Shakes for the Walleye

(Toledo, OH) - Forward Trevor Parkes has been reassigned by the NHL's Detroit Red Wings to the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins. Forward Maxim Shalunov has been assigned to Toledo by the AHL's Rockford IceHogs.

Parkes is the leading scorer for the Walleye this season with 17 goals and 17 assists in 27 contests. Over the last three years, the native of Fort Erie, Ontario has skated in 49 ECHL games with 35 goals and 33 assists. The 22 year old has also appeared in 86 games with the Griffins over his career, including six games this year.

Shalunov, a 2011 fourth round draft choice of the Chicago Blackhawks, has appeared in 20 games with Rockford this year with four assists and eight penalty minutes. He scored two goals in five games earlier this season with the Walleye. The native of Chelyabinsk, Russia was a member of the Bronze Medal winning team Russia in the World Junior Champions in 2011 and 2012. The 20 year old forward posted 30 goals and 30 assists in 2011-12 with Medvedi Chelyabinsk.
