Roster Approaches Opening Night Limit

With opening night (Friday October 15) approaching, Tulsa Oilers coach Bruce Ramsay is closing in on the roster limit for the Central Hockey League. Ramsay still has 20 players in the Oilers' training camp, while CHL regulations allow teams to carry up to 19 players on their roster, and suit up 18 players (2 goaltenders and 16 skaters) for games. The players in the Oilers training camp: Goal-Trevor Cann, Tyler Sims Defense-Sean Erickson, Stacey Baumann, R.J. Linder, Derek Eastman, Brennan Barker, Derek Fisher, Tyler Fleck Forward-Dan Riedel, Chad Costello, Matt Robertson, Gary Steffes, Jack Combs, Chris Cloud, Jason Weeks, Marty Standish, Gord Bell, Matt Larke, Mike Beausoleil The Oilers start the regular season on Friday at 7:35 p.m. against the Wichita Thunder at the BOK Center. The Oilers had the second highest point total increase in the CHL last season under Ramsay, who was in his first season with the Oilers. They will have 33 home games at the BOK Center in the 2010-11 season, starting on Friday October 15th against the Wichita. Season tickets for 2010-11 with plans for as low as $26 a month are now available by calling the Oilers office at 918-632-PUCK (7825).
