Myrtle Beach Pelicans News Release

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans have announced the following roster moves affecting the Myrtle Beach Pelicans:

-RHP Jose Rosario has been assigned to Double-A Tennessee from Myrtle Beach.

-RHP Daniel Lewis has been assigned to Myrtle Beach from Extended Spring Training.

Rosario missed all of the 2015 season after undergoing Tommy John Surgery. His first appearance with the Birds came in the club's season-opening series against Frederick, with Rosario coming into the game on April 10 with the bases loaded and two outs to earn the save - his first since July 24, 2011. In all, he made 12 appearances to go 1-0 with a 1.65 ERA. He struck out 14 and walked eight in 16.1 innings.

Lewis, a native of Newport, N.C., pitched in 24 games for Low-A South Bend in 2015. The 25-year-old went 0-2 with a 3.68 ERA covering 36.2 innings. He was originally signed by the Cubs as a non-drafted free agent on July 11, 2014 out of Pensacola State College.

The Pelicans roster sits at 25 players, with three players on the disabled list.
