Ron Newman Cup Championship to be Broadcast in English and Spanish

KANSAS CITY (March 21, 2017) - The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) Ron Newman Cup Championship will be held this Sunday, March 25 at Arena Monterrey, between the Monterrey Flash and the Baltimore Blast. This rematch of the 2015 title game will be broadcast on MASLtv in English and Spanish, the league announced today.

"We have an exciting matchup for the championship this year," said MASL Commissioner Joshua Schaub. "Our two broadcasts will mirror the game with two contrasting styles of play on the field and in the booth. Baltimore and Monterrey have been two of the league's top teams all year and I'm excited that we will be able to deliver the game to fans from across North America on MASLtv."

As they've done all season, the Monterrey Flash's talented play-by-play team of Enrique Garcia, Gerardo Suarez and Alejandro Aguirre will be featured on the Spanish broadcast. Nate Abaurrea will be bringing fans the English play-by-play with color commentary from Jeff Husted.

An international soccer broadcaster and writer, specializing in cross border coverage of the beautiful game in the United States and Mexico. For the past two years, Abaurrea has worked as both an analyst and play-by-play commentator for the MASL's San Diego Sockers.

JEFF HUSTED

Director of Public Relations and Digital Content for the MASL, overseeing MASLtv and all of the MASL's Digital Content. Jeff has provided color commentary for the Kansas City Comets and in the 2017 Ron Newman Cup Championship
