Rome, GA - Pitcher Carlos Rivas has been sent to Myrtle Beach of the Carolina League. Rivas had a 1.02 ERA in nine relief appearances with one save in 2008. Joining the Rome club is pitcher Cole Rohrbough who has completed his rehab assignment in Orlando. Rohrbough pitched in six games for Rome last season going 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA. He was rated by Baseball America as the seventh best prospect in the Atlanta farm system.
The Braves continue their home stand tonight against the Hickory Crawdads at 7pm. Upcoming promotions include Zooperstars (Saturday 7pm), Faith Day (Sunday 2pm).
