Rodriguez and Ventura have braces as Barracudas Fall

Hidalgo, Texas - Diego Rodriguez and Oscar Ventura both scored braces but it was not enough as the Rio Grande Valley Barracudas fall to the Turlock Express by a final of 11-7 on Sunday evening at State Farm Arena.
In the first quarter Turlock got the scoring started on an Ivan Campos goal off an Arturo Pulido goal that made 1-0. RGV responded with a Diego Rodriguez goal that knotted the game at one. A Manny Villegas solo effort put the Express up 2-1 to recover the advantage. Ismael Pineda added a goal to tie things up two. Pulido scored the third goal off a Campos assist and made 3-2. Rodriguez would score again for RGV making 3 all at the end of one quarter.
The second quarter feature only two goals as Adrian Gutierrez scored to recapture the lead for the Express making a 4-3 game. Then Julio Hernandez scored a power play goal to tie things up at 4-a piece.
During the third quarter it was all Turlock as they scored five unanswered goals to put the game out of reach as Ivan Campos score twice in that flurry of goals to make it 9-4.
The last quarter, the Express added to its lead as Campos scored his fourth goal of the night to make it 10-4. Moises Gonzalez scored a consolation goal to make it 10-5 score line. Oscar Ventura scored his of two goals as he took a pass from Salvador Luna to make it 10-6. Turlock added an empty net goal to make it 11-6. Ventura added the final goal of the game with a sixth attacker from an Antonio Manfut feed to end the score at 11-7.
