A wild pitch by Boulders pitcher Brett Palanski allowed Ruiz to reach base safely and Crane to score. Jiwan James would get his second RBI in as many innings on a fielder's choice to second base. Ryan Brockett tacked on a RBI of his own furthering the Aigles lead to 4 after two innings of play.

Boulders pitcher Brett Palanski was replaced headed into the fourth inning after pitching 3 innings, allowing 5 hits and 2 earned runs. Palanski was pitching in his first professional game since 2009 when he was a member of the Can-Am champions Quebec Capitales.

Trois-Rivieres added on an insurance run in the top half of the ninth. Yeixon Ruiz led off the inning with a bunt, and advanced to second via a Jason Byers and made it to third via a Jason Byers wild pitch. Ruiz was brought home by a Kyle Lafrenz double.

The Boulders made a bid at a comeback in their final at-bat. The leadoff batter Devin Harris blasted a solo home run to right field to cut the deficit to a score of 5-2. With the two outs and the bases loaded #13 was walked and Jared Schlehuber would come around to score. The Boulders were unable to score again, falling 5-3.
