Rock-N-Roll Triple Play Coming To Memorial Stadium

Fort Wayne, IN - Following in the footsteps of the Bob Dylan concert in 2006, the Fort Wayne Wizards, along with Jam Productions and Pacific Coast Concerts will welcome a triple play line-up on Thursday, August 30.

Counting Crows, with special guests Live and Collective Soul will grace an infield stage at Memorial Stadium in a second annual concert showcase at the home of the Fort Wayne Wizards. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. with VIP and pre-sale gates opening at 5:00 p.m. and general public gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

"With the success of Bob Dylan and their event last year, this will be another exciting evening at Memorial Stadium," Wizards general manager Mike Nutter said. "The Wizards are pleased about being able to be a part of the Rock-N-Roll Triple Play tour this year. We've hosted many different concerts since the 2000 season and this is just a tremendous event to bring to Fort Wayne this summer."

Tickets for the event, which are $49.50 each, will be on sale starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 9 and will be available at the Memorial Coliseum ticket office or all TicketMaster locations. The Wizards front office will not be taking ticket orders for the concert event.

Kids under the age of 12 will be admitted free to the concert with each adult ticket holder.

Band Information

Counting Crows hail from the San Francisco Bay area and the group consists of Adam Duritz - vocals and piano; Jim Bogios - drums; David Bryson - guitar; Charles Gillingham - keyboards; David Immergluck - guitar; Dan Vickrey - guitar and Millard Powers - bassist.

The success of Counting Crows begins in 1993 with their debut album August And Everything After which included the hit single "Mr. Jones." In 1996, their album Recovering the Satellites included the popular hit "A Long December." Their first best-of album, Films About Ghosts, was released in 2004 and a live album New Amsterdam : Live at Heineken Music Hall was released in 2003.

Their most recent hit was the number one song, "Accidentally In Love," which serves as the opening theme for the movie Shrek 2. Counting Crows has sold more than 20 million records worldwide.

LIVE came about in the early nineties and have sold more than 20 million CD's worldwide. Several of their songs have reached the Billboard charts including "Selling the Drama," I Alone," and "Lightning Crashes."

Coming together in the early 1990's, Collective Soul has been a major success for more than a decade since their release of their debut album Hints Allegations & Things Left Unsaid. Nineteen of their singles have reached the Billboard charts including such hits as "Shine," "Gel," and "Where the River Flows."
