Toronto Rock News Release

Toronto, ON - The NLL East Division leading Toronto Rock (5-2) will take on the West Division's best in the Calgary Roughnecks (4-2) on Friday night at Air Canada Centre. The game will be broadcast live on TSN2 and TSN Mobile TV at 7:30pm ET.

This will be the second meeting of the season between the two Canadian rivals. The first meeting of the season came back on January 12th at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary to open the 2013 for both clubs. It was another classic that went down to the wire with Toronto pulling out a 13-11 road win that began an Alberta weekend sweep for the Rock.

"We know Calgary is going to be very pumped up to play us," said Rock defender Jesse Gamble. "They have many factors to play off of. We beat them at home, in their home opener, and another is just coming to Toronto as a lot of them are from the area. It's almost like playing in front of a home crowd in front of your friends. It's going to be easy for them to be pumped up and excited for this game and we have to match that."

The Rock transition game was on full display in Toronto's season opening win over Calgary, which is something that again could be the difference on Friday night.

"We know Calgary is good," said Rock assistant coach and GM Terry Sanderson. "We're worried more about how we play than what Calgary is bringing. They'll have our due respect. But it's got more to do with how we execute especially in our transition game. We're getting some great chances, but we've got to learn to finish on those and they're only good if you're scoring. I think that's what this game could come down to, the transition game."

This game will also pit the top two scorers in the league against one another. Toronto's Garrett Billings (40 points in 7 games) will go head to head with Calgary's Shawn Evans (39 points in 6 games).

On Friday night, the Toronto Rock will welcome the 100th Grey Cup Champion Toronto Argonauts to Air Canada Centre when they face the Calgary Roughnecks.

Fans will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with the Grey Cup prior to the game on the Air Canada Centre concourse and are asked to bring their own camera to capture a picture.

At this Friday's game, the first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a limited edition Colin Doyle bobblehead courtesy of Bachly Construction. For the best ticket in town, visit www.torontorock.com or call 416-596-3075.
