Rob Bordson Returns to Adirondack

Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, announced today that leading scorer and team captain Rob Bordson has rejoined the team.

Bordson, 27, returns to the Thunder after ten games with the Providence Bruins of the AHL, where he collected five points (1-4-5). In seven ECHL games this season with the Thunder, Bordson scored seven goals, added six assists and was a +6 as he helped lead the team to a 7-0-0 record in its first seven games.

The 27-year-old had at least one point in six of his seven games, including a pair of three-point games in October. He scored two goals and added an assist in a 5-4 win at Brampton on?Oct. 23 and he picked up a goal and two assists in a 4-2 victory over Manchester on Oct. 24. Bordson also added a trio of three-point games. A native of Duluth, Minn., Bordson led the league with four power-play goals at the time of his recall and was leading the ECHL with 13 points.

Bordson has 62 points (23g-39a) in 44 career ECHL games with Adirondack and Trenton and he has added 104 points (41g-63a) in 320 career American?Hockey League games with Chicago,?Adirondack, Rochester and Syracuse. The winger's scoring exploits helped the Thunder to the best start to a season in Adirondack hockey history, breaking the record of 5-0, held by the 1988 and 1994 Adirondack Red Wings of the AHL.
