Camden Riversharks News Release
Camden, N.J. - The Camden Riversharks will honor the victims of the September 11th attacks during their final home stand of the season, the team announced today.
On Wednesday, September 9th during their 7:05pm game, the Riversharks' front office staff will be working the concession stands, where proceeds from their work will be donated back to local September 11th memorial foundations and organizations.
The Riversharks will hold a tribute during the 7:05pm game on Friday, September 11th for all victims, survivors, and loved ones of those affected by the attacks. As part of the pregame flag salute, the team will unfurl a giant American flag on the field presented by local firefighters. The team will also hold a moment of silence prior to the singing of our National Anthem.
Additionally on Friday, Riversharks season ticket holder Tom Peculski will throw out a ceremonial first pitch during the pregame ceremonies. Tom is a volunteer firefighter that was at Ground Zero following the September 11th attacks, and he will give a short speech discussing his experience and honoring those who protected and served our country during the tragedy.
During Friday's game, fans can also enjoy a 90-minute buffet picnic in our TNT Rental Party Tent, including Dietz & Watson hot dogs, pulled chicken, pasta salad, chips, cookies, soda and water. The cost of the picnic is only $20, with a portion of the proceeds from each ticket going towards local September 11th charities. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Terry Bradford at tbradford@riversharks.com or 856-583-0042. You can also visit www.Riversharks.com, click the 'Group Codes' button on the right side of the homepage and enter the code 'USAPICNIC' to order your tickets.
The September 11th tribute is part of Fan Appreciation Weekend, marking the final three home games of the season, including fireworks on Saturday and Sunday following our 5:35pm games. Any unused tickets or ticket vouchers from the 2015 season can be used for the September 11th game, as well as any of the six remaining games during the Riversharks' final home stand, which begins Tuesday, September 8th with a 7:05pm game.
