April 7, 2010 - Atlantic League (AtL) - Camden Riversharks
CAMDEN, NJ - The Camden Riversharks continued expanding their roster this week with the addition of three more players. The team has agreed to terms with right-handed pitchers, Ryan McKeller and Bill Muldowney, and outfielder Chris Walker. Walker was part of the team\'s opening day roster in 2008 and 2009, while McKeller and Muldowney are both fresh faces on the pitching staff this season.
Walker, originally a 6th round draft pick of the Chicago Cubs in 2002, will return for his third spell with the team. Midway through the 2008 season, Walker advanced to the AAA level to play with the Salt Lake Bees of the Pacific Coast League. He returned to Camden for the start of the 2009 season. Last year, Walker drove in 58 runs, had 132 hits, and compiled a batting average of .254 with the Riversharks.
Right-handed pitcher, Bill Muldowney, will be the first local addition to the Riversharks 2010 roster. Muldowney, born in Drexel Hill, PA, attended the University of Pittsburgh where he was a pitcher in the starting rotation for the Panthers. In 2006, Muldowney was selected as an 8th round pick of the Chicago Cubs in the amateur draft. The next year, he started two games for the Cubs in the Rookie League and registered 3.00 ERA.
Ryan McKeller, 26, is another pitcher added to this season\'s roster. McKeller\'s highest level of play occurred in 2009 with the Round Rock Express, the AAA affiliate of the Houston Astros organization. With the Round Rock Express, he pitched in 17 games before moving to the Corpus Christi Hooks for the remainder of the season. With these two clubs, Ryan compiled a 5.17 ERA, and an overall record of 3-6.
The Riversharks open their 10th Anniversary Season, presented by Wawa, on Thursday, April 22nd, on the road against the Newark Bears. The team will play their home opener at Campbell\'s Field against the Bears on April 30th, 2010, at 7:05 PM. Individual and group tickets are now on sale, and can be purchased online at
