WEEK 14 - RIVERMEN ACTION (1-2-1-0)

Tuesday, January 1 - RIVERMEN 2 vs. Houston 3

Houston jumped out to a 2-0 lead just 3:37 into the first period on goals from Adrian Foster and Serge Payer, but the Rivermen clawed back into the game thanks to a pair of goals from Julian Talbot in the third period. With the game in overtime and Houston on a power play, Jonathan Awe found the net through a screen at 2:17 for the game winner.

Friday, January 4 - RIVERMEN 3 vs. Milwaukee 2

Charles Linglet's two goals and an assist paced the Peoria offense in a 3-2 win over the Milwaukee Admirals on Friday night at Carver Arena. Linglet scored twice then helped set up Julian Talbot's third period game winner as the Rivermen downed the Admirals for the second time this season. Chris Beckford-Tseu made 22 saves for the win.

Saturday, January 5 - RIVERMEN 2 @ Quad City 1 (SO)

Krys Kolanos opened the scoring midway through the second period of a physical game that featured four fights and plenty of hard hits. Trent Whitfield's rebound marker at 6:19 of the third sent the game to a shootout, where the Rivermen scored three times for the win while Marek Schwarz (31 saves) stopped 3-of-5 shooters to give the Rivermen the victory.

Sunday, January 6 - RIVERMEN 4 vs. Quad City 3

The two teams again engaged in a physical battle back in Peoria the following day, with Quad City grabbing a 2-0 lead early in the second period. Peoria returned fire with a pair of Jean-Guy Trudel goals and a literal last-second tally by Steve Wagner with just 1.4 ticks remaining to make it 3-2 at intermission. Grant Stevenson's second of the game evened the score at 5:51 of the third period, but Jeff Woywitka would notch the game winner at 11:58 as Peoria held on for the victory to move to 5-1-1 against the Flames this year.
