Rivermen Release Full 2018-19 Schedule

Peoria, IL - The Peoria Rivermen, in coordination with the Southern Professional Hockey League, announced the team's full 2018-19 schedule Friday morning. The Quad City Storm will be Peoria's most common opponent, with 16 meetings between the teams split evenly between Carver Arena and the TaxSlayer Center, with the latter hosting Peoria's regular season opener October 20.

Prior to opening night at the TaxSlayer Center, the Rivermen and Storm will play a preseason contest October 13 at Carver Arena, marking Peoria's first preseason game since the 2013 preseason when they played a home-and-home pair against the then-Bloomington Thunder. The Rivermen will open their regular season with games October 20 and 26 at Quad City before traveling to Evansville to battle the Thunderbolts the morning of Tuesday, October 30.

Peoria will open the home portion of their regular season schedule November 2 against the Storm, again battling Quad City the following night in Moline. The Rivermen will then host the Fayetteville Marksmen November 9 and 10 before playing a pair at Evansville the 16th and 17th. Peoria will play home games at Carver Arena November 23 against Evansville and November 24 with Pensacola before making the season's only trip to Fayetteville to take on the Marksmen November 30 and December 1.

The Rivermen will host Evansville Saturday, December 8 and Huntsville the following afternoon before playing host to a pair of games against Quad City, including the team's first Education Day game of its SPHL era on Thursday, December 13. Peoria will then spend back-to-back weekends on the road, playing at Quad City December 21 & 22 and at Huntsville December 28 & 29 before returning to Moline for a New Year's Eve contest Monday, December 31.

Peoria will begin calendar 2019 with a trio of home games against Huntsville (January 4 & 6) and Evansville (January 5) before traveling to the Ford Center for games against the Thunderbolts January 11 & 12. The Rivermen will host the Quad City Storm for a pair of games January 18 and 19 before a pair of three-game road sets at Pensacola January 25-27 and at Macon January 31 through February 2.

The Rivermen will battle the Storm in a home-and-home series, at Carver Arena February 8 and at the TaxSlayer Center the following night. Peoria will play at Carver Arena against Birmingham (February 15), Macon (February 16) and Roanoke (February 22-24).

The Rivermen will open the month of March with a home pair against Knoxville March 1 & 2 and a Sunday matinee against Quad City the following day, followed by back-to-back Friday/Saturday pairs March 8 & 9 in Knoxville and the 15th and 16th at Birmingham. Peoria will then open a home-and-home pair in Quad City March 22 before hosting the Storm in Peoria March 23. The Rivermen will wrap up the regular season with pairs of home games against Evansville (March 29 & 30) and Macon (April 5 & 6) before the commencement of the 2019 SPHL Challenge Round the following week.

All of Peoria's Friday and Saturday home games this season will again be played at 7:15, with 3:05 scheduled start times for all four Sunday games at Carver Arena and a special 10:30 AM start time for the Rivermen Education Day game December 13. 16 Peoria meetings with Quad City will make the Storm the most common Rivermen opponent, while Peoria 's second-most common foe will be Evansville, with the Rivermen set to battle the Thunderbolts 10 times, five each in Central Illinois and Southern Indiana.
