SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - The Mississippi RiverKings (15-8-5) scored three third-period goals to erase a two-goal deficit to come from behind and beat the Louisiana IceGators (11-14-3) by the score of 3-2 on Concorde Career College Ice at Landers Center.

The RiverKings found themselves in an early hole in the first period. Alex Hudson took a pass from Jake Hauswirth from the blueline, carried it into the slot and wristed a shot off of the crossbar and past Peter Di Salvo to put Louisiana up 1-0 7:52 into the first period.

In the second, Louisiana added to their lead on the power play. With Michael Beaudry in the box for holding, Zac Frischman set up Jeremy Boyer for a one-time slap shot that beat Di Salvo's blocker and put the IceGators up by two with under three minutes to go in the second.

But the RiverKings began the comeback midway through the third period. Troy Polino capitalized on an IceGator miscue in the slot and beat Adam Courchaine for his first career SPHL goal to cut the deficit to one. Three minutes later, the RiverKings tied it at two when Bryan Dallaire's pass through traffic found Beaudry who slid it past Courchaine.

The RiverKings capped off the comeback with 12.1 seconds left. With Frischman in the box for tripping, Donald Olivieri ripped a shot to the front of the net and Matt Harrington hammered home the rebound to give the RiverKings points in four of their last five games and a 3-2 victory.

Peter Di Salvo (9-3-1) picked up the win in his first game back from the ECHL after stopping 21 of 23 shots against. Adam Courchaine (6-7-1) took the loss after turning aside 27 of 30 shots on goal.

The RiverKings went 1-4 on the power play, while Louisiana scored on one of their two man-advantage opportunities.

The RiverKings are back on Concorde Career College Ice tomorrow night for a rematch of tonight's game against Louisiana at 7:05 p.m. It's our annual Belhaven University Faith and Family Night.
