TUNICA, Miss. - The Mississippi RiverKings traveled to Tunica Mississippi on Thursday March 30 to discuss hockey with members of the Tunica Rotary Club and their family members as part of the Rotary Club's Huck-Finn Day.

"Thanks for you guys coming down to Tunica and making this the largest attended 'Huck Finn Day' we've ever had. They had all sorts of questions and they really enjoyed having their picture taken with RiverThing," said Mike Boren, coordinator for Thursday's event.

Thursday's event was part of the Rotary Club's "Huck-Finn Day," where Rotary members bring their families for lunch and a presentation from a local business organization.

RiverKings assistant broadcaster Jake Powell and game-operations assistant Austin Brown fielded numerous questions from both children and adults in attendance, covering the history of the organization, the rules of the sport and some of the equipment used while playing hockey. Powell and Brown were accompanied to Tunica by RiverKings Mascot RiverThing, who posed for photos with those in attendance. All kids at the Rotary Club received a free ticket to the next RiverKings home game on April 8th.

The RiverKings are back on home ice April 8 and 9 for their final home games of the regular season against the Pensacola Ice Flyers. Get tickets for both games starting at $10 per game by calling 662-342-1755 or visit riverkings.com for more information.
