Mississippi RiverKings News Release
SOUTHAVEN, Miss. -- The Mississippi RiverKings announced today that they have entered into a new, three-year lease agreement with the Landers Center. The agreement keeps the team at the Landers Center through the 2018-19 season.
"We are very proud and happy to call the Landers Center home for another three seasons," RiverKings Director of Business Operations David Schmoll said. "Over the past few seasons, our staffs have worked hard to build relationships and grow our working partnership that will only turn into a better experience for our fans."
The DeSoto County Convention and Visitors Bureau (DCCVB) echoed those sentiments.
"DCCVB is excited and proud to once again partner with Maddox Foundation and the Mississippi RiverKings to continue to bring excitement, family fun and a whole lot of winning on the Landers Center ice," Landers Center Executive Director Todd Mastry said. "Coach Landmesser and his team put an exciting team on the ice, while David Schmoll and his team in the front office continue to put together an entertaining time off the ice."
The new lease extends the RiverKings partnership through the 2018-19 season in what will be the team's 19th season at the Landers Center as an anchor tenant. The RiverKings celebrate their 25th season of hockey in the Mid-South when the puck drops at the Landers Center on Friday, October 21.
