RiverKings Announce Pair of Preseason Contests
September 6, 2017 - SPHL (SPHL) - Mississippi RiverKings News Release
The RiverKings and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced two upcoming exhibition games. The pair of games scheduled for October 13 and October 15, sees the RiverKings square up against the Huntsville Havoc, a rematch of last postseason's first-round battle.
Beginning on the road at the Von Braun Center, the RiverKings will look to take down the Havoc; a team that boasted the highest scoring offense a season ago.
Two days later, the RiverKings return the favor as they host the Havoc at Landers center on October 15. In 2016-17 the RiverKings split the regular season with Huntsville, 3-3-0. Season ticket holders receive free tickets to the game with their season ticket package. Single game tickets for the Sunday exhibition game will go on sale at a later date.
Between preseason games, the RiverKings will participate in Noah's Gift 5K, a charity based walk-run-skate to take place in Hernando, MS on October 14. For information on the race, applying for the Noah's gift grant, or how you can get involved, visit www.noahsgift.org.
The 2017-18 RiverKings season begins October 20th when the Knoxville Ice Bears visit Landers Center. Ticket packages are available now by visiting www.riverkings.com/familypacks or by calling the RiverKings office at 662-342-1755.
