RiverKings Add Five to Front Office Staff

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - The Mississippi Riverkings announced the hiring of 5 new full-time employees to the Front Office today. Mandy Barefoot-McCulloch, Kari Biggs, Amber Nelson, Austin Pilkinton and Zachary Robinson all join the RiverKings staff for the 2016-2017 season.

Mandy, a Huntsville, Ala. native comes to the RiverKings after serving as a Ticket Sales Representative for the Huntsville Havoc during the 2015-2016 season. During the summer of 2016, she worked as the Box Office Assistant Manager for the Quad Cities River Bandits, the Low-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, in Davenport, Iowa. Mandy takes over Group Sales and Ticketing for the RiverKings, where she processes ticket orders for the team along with being available to answer any and all ticketing concerns for RiverKings fans. For group sales she handles outreach to local churches in the area and helps with fundraising for different organizations.

Kari joins the RvierKings as Season Ticket Sales and Retention Manager. Originally from Athens, Ala., Kari worked as a ticket sales intern with the Huntsville Havoc before joining the Mississippi RiverKings. As Season Ticket Sales and Retention Manager, Kari will help RiverKings fans purchase season tickets and work with season ticket holders, ensuring that they are given the best possible season ticket experience with the RiverKings.

Amber takes over as the RiverKings Office Manager. She comes to the team from a corporation in Memphis as an experienced retail store manager. Amber's job has her handling tasks in the office and overseeing the Merchandise store for the Riverkings along with keeping the store's inventory. She also enters ticket sales for the Riverkings and does accounting work as well.

Austin comes to the team as the RiverKings new Outside Sales Account Executive. In his position, Austin reaches out to local businesses for sponsorship and ticket opportunities. Austin was previously with the Memphis Redbirds baseball team for their 2016 season.

Zach begins his first season with the Mississippi RiverKings as Group Sales and Community Development Coordinator. He graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in May 2016 with a BS in Sport Management and Leadership Studies. Before coming to the RiverKings, Zach worked briefly with the Reading Royals of the ECHL. As the Community Development Coordinator, Zach handles mascot and player appearances, all donation requests for the many charities the RiverKings work with. Zach also helps build and create fundraising opportunities for different organizations associated with the RiverKings and group sales.

The RiverKings return to the Landers Center on Friday, October 21 to take on the Evansville Thunderbolts at 7:30 p.m. Groups of 10 or more purchasing before October 14 receive free tickets to a future game. For more information, call the RiverKings at 662-342-1755 or visit riverkings.com.
