RiverDogs Head to Rome for SAL Divisional Round, Will Host Game Two

CHARLESTON, SC - With one more regular season game remaining, the playoff matchups are set for the South Atlantic League Divisional round as the Charleston RiverDogs open the postseason on the road facing the Rome Braves at 7pm on Wednesday, September 7 at State Mutual Stadium.

It will be the first playoff appearance for the RiverDogs in 11 seasons, and the first postseason berth for the Braves since 2012.

Friday's Game Two at 7:05pm presented by Benefitfocus will feature a "Gold Out" t-shirt giveaway with all fans receiving a playoff t-shirt as the gates open for postseason play on a Budweiser "Thirsty Friday" at The Joe featuring dollar beers in the Ashley View Pub. There will also be a postgame fireworks extravaganza presented by Home Telecom following the game.

The RiverDogs will roll out RHP Nick Green (3-0, 0.95) in Game 1 to face RHP Mike Soroka (9-9, 3.02) for the Braves. The best-of-three series continues on Friday night at 7:05pm in Charleston where the RiverDogs will send RHP Daris Vargas (10-8, 2.95) to toe the rubber against LHP Kolby Allard (5-3, 3.73).

Game 3, if necessary, would be played on Saturday, September 10 at The Joe at 7:05pm.

Tickets for Game Two of the SAL Divisional Series on Friday, September, 9 at 7:05pm are now available.
