River Cats Announce 'Bark in the Ballpark' at Raley Field

West Sacramento, Calif. - The Sacramento River Cats, along with partners Atta Boy Dog Food and Raley's & Bel Air, will once again open the Raley Field gates to a different ‘breed' of fan on Sunday, June 7th ...dogs! The team will host the third annual "Bark in the Ballpark" at Raley Field where fans can bring their dogs to the park to enjoy the River Cats' 1:05 p.m. game against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. Gates will open at 12:00 p.m. for fans without dogs, but will open 30 minutes earlier at the right field gate (11:30 a.m.) for fans with dogs. This will be the first of two Bark in the Ballpark events at Raley Field this summer (the second is scheduled for Sunday, August 23rd).

The River Cats will provide ample drinking water for dogs and, while their owners enjoy cotton candy, Dinger Dogs and other ballpark food, dogs in attendance can chow down on complimentary treats provided by the team. Sierra Summits will also be on hand with free samples of "4Paws," a healing balm for dog pads, hotspots and any dry skin.

The game will feature additional dog-themed promotions, including a pre-game on-field dog parade and a dog costume contest (that's dogs in costume, not people dressing up as dogs....though that is welcome as well).

Dog owners must sign a waiver for each dog prior to entry to the ballpark and all dogs must have proper identification and must be on leash during the entire game. A complete list of event rules and restrictions can be found at www.rivercats.com/themenights.

The River Cats encourage all fans (and their dogs) to purchase tickets in advance for this game. A portion of all advance tickets sold will go towards the Sacramento SPCA.
