Riley Goes Yard, Rome Wins 3-2

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves defeated the Charleston Riverdogs Friday night 3-2 at State Mutual Stadium before 2,330 fans.

Charleston took a 2-0 lead in the third on a Chris Gittens two run double. In the bottom of the inning, Rome scored a run on a two out RBI base hit by Luke Dykstra. Three frames later, Ray-Patrick Didder singled to start the sixth and later scored on Austin Rliey's (5) two run homer to give the Braves a 3-2 advantage. Strong pitching by Grayson Jones and Matt Custred out of the bullpen held the Riverdogs scoreless the rest of the way giving Rome the 3-2 victory.

Jones (2-1) earns the win and Charleston starter Yefrey Ramirez (2-6) is the loser. Custred gets his second save. Rome starter Touki Toussaint went five innings allowing five hits and two runs.
