DANVILLE, VA- Austin Riley and Juan Yepez both recorded solo home runs, and the D-Braves roll to a 4-1 win over the Bluefield Blue Jays. Starter Mike Soroka went four innings for the Braves, only allowing one run on five hits, while recording a career high in strikeouts with seven. The Braves bats came alive for 12 total hits in the game, 11 of which coming off Blue Jay starting pitcher Geno Encina.

The Blue Jays would score their one and only run in the top of the second inning. The very next hitter, designated hitter, Jacob Anderson then made it back to back singles as he singled into right field advancing Williams to second base. With runners on first and second, Blue Jays third baseman Mattingly Romanin would walk to load the bases for Nick Sinay. Sinay was then hit by a pitch, and Williams would trot to home plate for the only Blue Jays run of the night.

Braves first baseman Austin Riley would tie the game with one swing of the bat as he lead off the inning with a towering 417 foot home run to left center field. After the Riley home run, designated hitter Jeff Campbell singled to center field, which was followed by a Juan Yepez infield single, with Campbell advancing to second base as well. With runners at first and second, Braves catcher Trey Keegan singled up the middle for a base hit and an RBI as Campbell was waved around to score and the D-Braves took a 2-1 lead.

The Braves would add runs in both the bottom of the fifth and sixth innings to extend their lead to 4-1. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Braves short stop Yeudi Grullon lead off with a single into right field. Grullon's single was followed by a single to right field by Braves right fielder Ronald Acuna.
