MIDLAND, TEXAS - The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, were shut out and held to just one hit in a rain-shortened 4-0 loss to the Midland RockHounds in five innings Tuesday night at Security Bank Ballpark.

Riders (51-50 overall, 13-19 second half) starter Frank Lopez (5-5) pitched three scoreless frames to open the game, but he was tagged for four runs in the final two innings. Midland got on the board first with Josh Rodriguez's two-out, two-run single in the fourth. Beau Taylor plated another pair with a two-run homer in the fifth.

Heath Fillmyer (1-0) earned his first Double-A victory in his second start with the RockHounds (54-48, 21-11). The only hit Fillmyer surrendered was a leadoff single to Ronald Guzman in the second inning. Fillmyer struck out four and walked none, throwing his five shutout innings on just 51 pitches.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa went 0-for-2, snapping his season-long 24-game on-base streak.

The RoughRiders wrap up their three-game road series against Midland Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Righty Connor Sadzeck (9-3, 3.27 ERA) takes the mound against Corey Walter (2-2, 2.40 ERA).
