RHP David Robertson Promoted To Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre

(Trenton, NJ)- The Trenton Thunder, Double A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, have announced that RHP Anthony Claggett, has been added to the Thunder roster from High-A Tampa. RHP David Robertson has been promoted to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Claggett made one appearance with the Tampa Yankees 4/27 vs. CLE. He went 3 IP and gave up 4 H and 1 R. He started the season on the disabled list with a hamstring strain. He went 9-8 with a 3.69 ERA in 32 G/16 GS for Tampa during 2007. He also started 1 G for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and was 0-0 with a 5.40 ERA. Claggett was acquired along with RHP Kevin Whelan and RHP Humberto Sanchez for OF Gary Sheffield (11/10/06). He was originally drafted by Detroit in 11th round of the 2005 draft.

Robertson was 0-0 with a 0.96 ERA in 9 games for the Thunder with 2 SV. He struck out 26 and walked 6 in 18.2 IP. Last season, he combined to go 8-3 with four saves with a 0.96 ERA in 44 games between Charleston (Low-A), Tampa and Trenton. He was originally selected by the Yankees in the 17th round of the 2006 draft.

The Thunder play the first game of a three-game series against the Portland Sea Dogs, the Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, tonight at Waterfont Park. LHP Phil Coke (0-1, 6.23) starts for Trenton against Portland RHP Michael Bowden (1-2, 3.70).
