Game Rewind

All Star Weekend

The Battle Creek Revolution had an All Star Crew head down to Evansville, Indiana for the weekend that included players Nick Bet, Chris Affinati, Rob Schweyer, Matt Kinsella, Ky Mojay, Dan Kohanchuck, Shawn McNulty, and Rick Gadwa along for the trip. The All Star Game saw the Revolution show off there talent as some of the most talented players in the league during the skills competition on Friday night and during the game Saturday afternoon.

The game saw AAHL All Stars Team One score 15 goals over AAHL All Stars Team Two 9 Goals as many Revolution players got in the scoring act all night long. Nick Bet and Ky Mojay each scored two goals for their respected teams leading all Revolution players in goal scoring. Rob Schweyer, Chris Affinati, and Shawn McNulty each scored a goal for their respected teams as well showing the Revolution pride during the All Star Game.

Rev It Up

The Revolution will be in action this weekend with one big game at The Rink this weekend against the Madison Ice Muskies in a battle for second place. It will be "Sell Out Saturday" for the Revolution as we are looking to fill up the old barn for our first ever sell out at the Rink. We encourage you to bring your friends, neighbors, and family to their first game of the year and help us break the all time attendance record for the Revolution. The face off will start at 7:30pm sharp this Saturday night January 16th, make sure you stop by the Rink Box Office to pick up your tickets or get them by calling the ticket office at 269-832-8172.

Sailing Off in the Sunset

The Revolution Hockey Club lost two players at the start of the new year with the retirement announcements of Jonah Rogowski and Jakub Fojtik. Jonah got a full time job outside of hockey after leading the grind line the first part of the season. Jakub was becoming home sick and wanted return to his family after trying out North American hockey. The Revolution would like to wish the best of luck to the two of them in the future.

New Blood

The Revolution would like to welcome back one of it's top scorers from last season as the team claimed Charles Harvey off waivers from the West Michigan Blizzard who was their leading scorer in shocking move the Rev's quickly put in a waiver claim. Also Scott O'Conner was claimed off waivers from the Blizzard as Scott is known for being one of the best defensive forwards in the league. Also in another shocking move, the Revolution team has signed former head coach Matt Wiedenhoeft to help with a depleted defensive core. With these solid signings the Revolution look to further the chase to the Championship Cup.

Called in to Action

The Revolution our also proud to announce it's third call up of the 2009-2010 season as D-Man Nick Schneider has been called up to the Muskegon Lumber Jacks of the International Hockey League. Nick joins former Revolution players Nick Williams and Justin Grevious as the other players called up to the IHL this season.

History Stat of the Week

When Matt Wiedenhoeft dresses this weekend he will be the second Revolution coach to join the Revolution as player joining Mark Allen who was a player coach in the 2008-2009 season. The Revolution is now coached by Bobby Clouston for the 2009-2010 season.

Coaches Show

Make sure you join Head Coach Bobby Clouston this Tuesday night with the live Coaches Show at the JW Barleycorn's Restaurant in downtown Battle Creek at 7:00pm. All the fans are encouraged to come down to ask questions for the coach and players. JW Barleycorn's will be offering food and drink specials to the Revolution fans that make it out to the show.
