Augusta, GA-Tuskegee University defeated Benedict College 4-2 in ten innings in the first game of the Southern Intercollegiate Baseball Conference Tournament Thursday at Lake Olmstead Stadium. Miles College took a 7-1 lead over Claflin University before the game was suspended in the middle of the seventh inning due to rain. It will resume Friday morning
The remaining scheduled games for Thursday were Kentucky State University vs. Paine College and Albany State University vs. Lemoyne-Owen College. Both of those games have also been suspended and are scheduled to be made up on Friday. Here is an updated schedule for the tournament.
