Regular Season Finale: Fireworks on Saturday and Sunday

August 24, 2016 - International League (IL1)
Norfolk Tides News Release

It's Not Over Till We Say It Is!

Look out your window. Go ahead. We'll wait a second while you do. You see that beautiful weather outside? While we cannot guarantee anything weather-related, it certainly appears we'll have this beautiful weather for the rest of the week. And, as it turns out, we have our final five regular season home games starting tonight and continuing through Sunday.

There's nothing better than sitting outside on a warm summer night, enjoying a cold beverage, and watching some baseball. Plus, we have post-game fireworks on Saturday and Sunday .

Of course, we could be looking at more baseball in September if the Tides successfully defend their 2015 IL South Division title, repeat as division champs and make the playoffs. The Tides are just 3.0 games out of first place in a very tight divisional race. So, make your plans to visit Harbor Park this week for the final five regular season home games and keep your September calendars clear for some playoff baseball.

Meet the Paw Patrol at Harbor Park on Sunday

Back in June, we had Chase, Marshall, and Skye from the Paw Patrol visit Harbor Park and they're coming back this Sunday . If you missed your opportunity to take pictures with these awesome heroes, come and join us on Sunday to meet the Paw Patrol on the concourse at Harbor Park. Game time is 6:05 PM and gates open at 5:00 PM.

Add a Superhero Tides Jersey to Your Collection

On June 10, the Tides played the Gwinnett Braves at Coolray Field and it was Superhero Night. Both the Braves and Tides wore special superhero-themed jerseys like what you see pictured above.

The Gwinnett Braves recently sent us a selection of game-worn Tides jerseys from this game and we're making them available to you this Friday . Visit the table on the first base side of the concourse to participate in a silent auction for these jerseys. Bidding starts at $100 for each jersey and proceeds will benefit the Youth Baseball Fund.

And, if you're feeling lucky, we'll also have a raffle for one of the jerseys. These are one-of-a-kind jerseys you won't find anywhere else, so come to the game on Friday for your chance to add one of these jerseys to your collection. Plus, you'll be supporting a very worthy cause. The Youth Baseball Fund has contributed to several youth baseball field makeover projects throughout all of Hampton Roads and we thank you for your support!
