FARGO, ND - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have signed RHP Dan Sattler as a free agent. Sattler will be in uniform tonight as the RedHawks continue their series at Newman Outdoor Field against the Sioux City Explorers.

Sattler began his professional career in 2007 after being drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 44th round of that year's draft out of Purdue University. He pitched two seasons in the Rangers organization before signing with the Kansas City T-Bones of the Northern League in 2009. He was signed by the Oakland A's after posting a 3-3 record with a 1.66 ERA.

Sattler pitched another season with the A's organization in 2010 before moving on to the Los Angeles Angels chain in 2011. After a five game stint with the St. Paul Saints in 2012, he was signed by the Minnesota Twins and worked his way up from the Saints to Triple-A Rochester in the summer of 2012. He returned to St. Paul in 2014 and posted 19 saves and was traded to Wichita in 2014. Sattler was with the Atlantic League champion Somerset Patriots in 2015 and was 8-2 with a 3.56 ERA in 47 games.
