Today's Game-- The RedHawks begin an eight-game road trip with tonight's contest in Albuquerque. After playing four against the Isotopes the RedHawks will head to Omaha. Brett Oberholtzer makes his Triple-A debut after recently getting called up from Double-A Corpus Christi.

Yesterday-- For the second straight game, the RedHawks used a six-run inning to pull away from the Round Rock Express, winning 9-4. Tied 1-1 heading into the fifth inning, the RedHawks took control with six runs. After a flyout to start the inning, six straight RedHawks reached base, with five notching hits. J.B. Shuck and Angel Sanchez drove in the first two runs, and Scott Moore and Brad Snyder brought home two each. It was the third time in the series the RedHawks scored at least six runs in an inning. The RedHawks kept it going in the sixth, piling on two more runs and five more hits. The exorbitant run support was more than enough for starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel, who tossed his fifth consecutive quality start. Keuchel (4-1) allowed two runs--one earned--and eight hits with a walk and three strikeouts over 6.1 innings.

Tonight's Probable Pitchers-- Brett Oberholtzer makes his Triple-A debut after recently getting called up from Corpus Christi...In four starts with the Hooks, Oberholtzer is 1-1, with a 6.86 ERA...His best outing came April 20 against Frisco when he threw seven scoreless frames with eight strikeouts...The lefty becomes the third member of the RedHawks who was acquired from Atlanta in a trade for Michael Bourn last July, joining Juan Abreu and Paul Clemens in OKC...Oberholtzer was a Southern League All-Star with Mississippi before the trade, going 9-9 with a 3.74 ERA...John Ely makes his fifth start of the season for the Isotopes and his first since he took a loss against the RedHawks in OKC Tuesday night (4.1 IP, 5 R, 7 H, 2 BB, 6 K)...Despite the hitter-friendly atmosphere at Isotopes Park, Ely has performed much better at home, allowing just four runs in 13 innings in his first two outings...Ely was acquired prior to the 2010 season from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for Juan Pierre...In 23 Major League appearances, he is 4-11 with a 5.35 ERA.

Sweet Shuck-- After sitting the first two games of the Round Rock series, J.B. Shuck went 8-for-10 over the final two contests. With the recent outburst, Shuck raised his season average from .245 to .333. On Saturday he became the first RedHawk to collect five hits in a game this year and the first since Jordan Schafer did it while on a rehab assignment August 20, 2011 against Iowa. It's the second time Shuck has had a five-hit game in his career, with the first coming August 5, 2009 with Lancaster. He went 5-for-6 that game as the JetHawks pounded out 25 hits in an 18-5 win over the High Desert Mavericks.

Contagious Hitting-- Over the final five games of the homestand, the RedHawks won four times largely because of tremendous team hitting. They hit .352 and amassed 42 runs--over eight per game. In all four wins they scored at least eight and in the Round Rock series, they had an inning with six runs or more three times.

Moore Offense-- Scott Moore is currently pacing the PCL in batting average (.407), on-base percentage (.533), and doubles (11) while he is second in slugging percentage (.729) and fourth in extra-base hits (14). He leads the team with nine multi-RBI games and eight multi-hit games, and he is tied with Fernando Martinez for the team lead in RBIs (21). He's also been perfect in the field in 83 total chances.

Notable Streaks-- Fernando Martinez holds the team's longest current hitting streak at six games (.321, 9x28). Scott Moore has hit safely in five straight (.526, 10x19) as well as in eight of his last nine games (.438, 14x32). Jimmy Paredes has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games as well as 10 of his last 12 (.358, 19x53) raising his season average from .206 to .299.

Homer Happy-- The RedHawks had their season-best streak of three consecutive games with a home run come to an end yesterday. During the eight-game homestand, the RedHawks launched seven dingers. Against Round Rock, they hit five home runs in a series for the second time this season (@ Memphis, 4/13-4/16). After Matt Kata's homer yesterday for Round Rock, the RedHawks pitching staff has now allowed a home run in eight straight games.

You Better Think Twice-- The RedHawks have caught 11 of 23 attempted base stealers for a 47.8% caught stealing rate, tied with Nashvile for best in the league. Landon Powell has hosed out four of the six who've tried to steal against him, and Carlos Corporan is 7-for-17.

Rare Defensive Lapse-- Yesterday the RedHawks committed a highly uncharacteristic four errors--over 20 percent of their season total (19). Amongst the top defensive clubs in the PCL all season, the RedHawks are stil tied with three other teams with a second-best .980 fielding percentage. Albuquerque is tops at .982.

Against the Isotopes-- Last week the Isotopes came into Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark and took three of four, including the first three straight...Two games were decided by one run, including the wild 11-10, 14-inning affair on April 22...Alex Castellanos went 6-for-10 before he got hurt, including a two homer game in the series opener...Jimmy Paredes led the way for the RedHawks, going 9-for-20 with four doubles...these two teams next meet May 25-28 back in Albuquerque.
