TONIGHT: The Oklahoma City RedHawks will try to even the series in New Orleans in Game 2 of a 4-game set at Zephyr Field. New Orleans has won the last 4 games between these teams dating to the series in OKC in early May, including last night by a 10-1 final. While their 3-game winning streak was stopped last night, the RedHawks have won 3 out of 4 and 6 of their last 8 and are 3-2 on the current trip. Tommy Hunter will start for the RedHawks in the ballpark where he made his Triple-A debut on July 2, 2008. He took a loss against last year's Zephyrs, then the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, by pitching 6.1 innings while allowing 3 runs on 9 hits in a 7-2 setback. Former OKC lefty John Koronka starts for New Orleans.

Z'S GET PLENTY OF OFFENSE IN 10-1 WIN: Six Zephyrs contributed RBIs and 8 had at least 1 hit in last night's 10-1 New Orleans win in the series opener. The Zephyrs scored 4 runs in the third inning off OKC starter Neftali Feliz (3-4) to take the lead for good. Feliz allowed 5 runs total, 4 earned, in 5 innings. OKC's only run was driven in by Greg Golson with the score 6-0 on a seventh-inning single against Clay Hensley (3-1) who tossed 7 innings for the win. Hensley retired the first 10 RedHawks while allowing 4 hits, 2 in his last inning. New Orleans out-hit OKC 12-5.

DIVISION UPDATE: The RedHawks fell a half-game back of Round Rock and Albuquerque with last night's result, while New Orleans climbed within a game of OKC and 1.5 games out of first. Round Rock and Albuquerque had their game on Thursday suspended in the second inning because of bad storms in Round Rock.

STREAK-ENDERS: Esteban German, Steve Murphy and Emerson Frostad all had offensive streaks end last night. German's 8-game hitting streak was his best of the season. He went 12-for-30 (.400) with a homer, 4 RBIs and 7 walks during the stretch. Murphy's season-best 6-game hitting streak also ended. During his run, Murphy was 12-for-23 (.522) with a homer and 4 RBIs. Frostad had reached base by hit or walk in his previous 12 games dating to his first stint with the RedHawks before failing to reach last night.

ERRORLESS STREAK ENDS: The RedHawks' 3-game errorless streak ended last night. OKC is still error-free in 6 of its last 8 and has only 7 errors in the last 18 games. OKC has gone 22 games since its last multiple-error game. The RedHawks made 2 errors in a 9-1 win in the second of a May 18 doubleheader against Tacoma.

HUFFMAN STAYS HOT: Royce Huffman as hit safely in 11 of his last 12. He leads the team in doubles with 13 and has more doubles than any other RedHawk has extra-base hits.

ZEPHYRS TOUGH ON THE ERA: The RedHawks have lost 4 out of 5 so far in the season series with New Orleans with a ERA of 8.41. The RedHawks have been out-hit 66-46 and out-homered 7-0 by the Z's. The RedHawks have allowed double-digit runs 7 times this season and three of those have been in games against New Orleans.

DOT...DOT...DOT: German leads the RedHawks with 30 RBIs, a .311 batting average and 18 stolen bases. He's also fifth in the PCL in on-base percentage at .432 and tied for third in walks with 40, 11 behind Omaha's Kila Ka'aihue...Max Ramirez has hit safely in 8 of his last 10, raising his average from .221 to .245 by going 13-for-43 (.302) in that stretch, which extends before his stint on the DL with right wrist soreness...Joaquin Arias is 8-for-21 (.381) duing a 5-game hitting streak that has lifted his average from .204 to .222.
