Redbirds to Hold #Twinterview with Michael Blazek

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds will hold an interview via Twitter (Twinterview) with former Redbirds pitcher Michael Blazek at 4:00 p.m. CT on Friday, January 11.
Fans are required to follow the Memphis Redbirds (@memphisredbirds) and Blazek (@MichaelBlazek34) on Twitter in order to view the conversation. Topics such as the offseason, 2012 Texas League playoffs, coach movement, the farm system, and general baseball topics will be discussed during this time.
In order to follow along and participate live on Twitter, fans are asked to submit their questions for Blazek by tweeting to @memphisredbirds with the hashtag #twinterview.
Blazek was named to the 2011 Texas League Mid-Season All-Star squad while also appearing in four games for the Redbirds over the last two seasons. The right-hander recently transitioned into a relief role and pitched the majority of last season with Double-A Springfield where he won a Texas League Championship. Blazek is recognized as the organization's 13th best prospect according to MLB.com and was added to St. Louis' 40-man roster at the conclusion of last season.
The St. Louis Cardinals Caravan will make its annual trip to Memphis and visit AutoZone Park on Sunday, January 20. The event is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Champions Club on the club level.
This year's attendees include former Redbirds Matt Adams, Tony Cruz, Sam Freeman, and Brad Thompson. Former Memphis Chick and National League All-Star Ryan Franklin and Cardinals' 2012 first round pick Michael Wacha will also join the Caravan along with broadcaster Dan McLaughlin. Players will discuss the past and upcoming season during a question and answer session with youth autograph opportunities to follow.
