Red Bulls Announce Roster Moves

New York Red Bulls News Release
HARRISON, NJ (Nov. 19, 2012) - The New York Red Bulls announced today that it will not be picking up the team contract options for the following players:
Forwards: Jose Angulo, Jhonny Arteaga, Corey Hertzog
Midfielders: Jan Gunnar Solli, Teemu Tainio
Defenders: Jonathan Borrajo, Stephen Keel, Tyler Ruthven
Goalkeepers: Bill Gaudette, Jeremy Vuolo
These players will all enter today's MLS Waiver Draft.
Angulo was signed on March 5, 2012 but did not feature in a regular season match. He came on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotpsur on July 31.
Arteaga was also signed on March 5 after playing for FC New York. He featured in five games and logged 17 minutes in 2012.
Borrajo was added by New York on Jan. 5, 2012 from Norwegian club, Hamarkameratene. He played in one regular season match for New York this year.
Gaudette was acquired on July 13, 2012 from the LA Galaxy in exchange for New York's natural 2014 second round Supplemental Draft pick. The goalkeeper went on to make 12 starts for the Red Bulls, posting a 1.33 goals against average, three shutouts and a 5-3-4 record.
Hertzog, who was drafted in the first round (14th overall) in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft out of Penn State University, made five career appearances for the Red Bulls over two seasons. He spent most of the 2012 season on loan with NASL side, the Wilmington Hammerhads.
Just completing his second year in New York, Keel made 35 total regular season appearances for the Red Bulls, 26 of which were starts. In 2012, Keel featured in nine games and made six starts.
Solli was brought to New York on Jan. 24, 2011 following a stint with SK Brann of Norway. In the past two seasons, Solli amassed 55 appearances, three goals and 12 assists. In 2012, Solli played in 24 games, notching three goals and five assists.
Signed on March 11, 2011, Tainio, a former Finnish international, recorded 14 appearances and nine starts in 2012 for New York, notching one assist.
The former Ajax Amsterdam midfielder finished his two seasons in MLS with 42 games played, 37 of which were starts.
Ruthven was signed on March 5, 2012, joining from NASL side, the Atlanta Silverbacks. He played in five games, starting in four in his first MLS season.
Vuolo joined New York on Jan. 25, 2012 from Finnish side, AC Oulu. He did not appear in a regular season match this year.
