Rattlers Rained Out for Third Straight Day in Burlington

BURLINGTON, IA - The weather was not kind to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers for their first trip to Burlington, Iowa this season. Sunday's doubleheader at Community Field was rained out. That marks the third straight day of a postponement in the series after the Rattlers won game one 6-1 on Thursday evening.
Wisconsin (10-11) is scheduled to come back to Burlington June 14-16 right before the end of the first half. League rules do not permit three doubleheaders in a row, so only two of the rainouts will be made up when the Rattlers return. The Bees (8-12) and Wisconsin will play a single game on June 14 with doubleheaders now scheduled for June 15 and June 16 at Community Field.
The Timber Rattlers have an off day on Monday before returning to action on Tuesday against the Bowling Green Hot Rods. Due to the weather delays in Burlington, the Rattlers will adjust their pitching rotation for the series against the Hot Rods and have not named a started for the game. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35pm.
