Rattlers Pick up Two D-Lineman for 2018

Phoenix, Ariz. - The Arizona Rattlers announced Monday that they have signed defensive linemen Terrance Surratt and Edward Vinson for the 2018 Indoor Football League (IFL) season.

Surratt (6-2, 290, South Carolina) played last season for the Colorado Crush. While there, he amassed 24 tackles, 4.5 for a loss, and half a sack. He also had one pass breakup, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. Surratt also spent time with the both the National Football League's (NFL) Oakland Raiders and the Washington Redskins.

Surratt attended the University of South Carolina where he was third team preseason All-SEC and team captain, and was selected to play in the College Gridiron Showcase All-Star Game his senior season for the Gamecocks.

The Winston-Salem, North Carolina native attended Parkland High School, where he earned all-conference, all-county, and all-state honors. He also played basketball for the Mustangs.

Vinson (6-1, 295, Emporia State) will be entering his first season in the IFL with the Rattlers.

Vinson attended Emporia State University, where recorded 40 tackles, 13.5 for a loss, and 6.5 sacks. In 2017, he was signed as a free agent by the Chicago Bears.

Prior to playing for Emporia State, Vinson attended Iowa Western Community College, where he was a first team All-Academic All-Region selection.

The Omaha, Nebraska native attended Omaha Central High School, where he received first-team All-Metro honors in football.
