Rangers Recall Jayson Megna from Hartford

NEW YORK - New York Rangers General Manager Jeff Gorton announced today that the team has recalled forward Jayson Megna from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Megna, 26, has skated in five games with the Rangers this season, registering one goal and one assist for two points, along with two penalty minutes. He recorded his first goal and assist as a Ranger while making his debut with the Blueshirts on Jan. 5 vs. Dallas.

The 6-1, 195-pounder has skated in 38 games with the Wolf Pack in 2015-16, registering nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points, along with 14 penalty minutes. Megna recorded three points (two goals, one assist) in four games with Hartford after he was assigned to the Wolf Pack on Jan. 22. He leads the Wolf Pack in shots on goal (121), ranks fourth in points, and is tied for fourth in goals this season. Megna also ranks second on the team in points per game in 2015-16 (0.55).
