Rainiers Prepare for the Annual July 3rd Extravaganza

Tacoma, WA - The Tacoma Rainiers are preparing for the annual July 3rd Fireworks Extravaganza. Fans will have access to an area of the field to enjoy an extended fireworks show immediately following the Rainiers game against their local rival, the Portland Beavers.
The Rainiers have joined forces with Pierce Transit to give fans an easy entrance and exit experience. Fans will have access to the Tacoma Community College parking lot, located at 19th and Mildred, to park at no cost. A temporary bus stop will be set up just east of 19th St. E. and Cheyenne St. The bus will run every 30 minutes throughout the day. Adult roundtrip tickets are $3.50 and include up to four children under the age of 13. Fans can make the return trip to TCC by boarding the return bus at a temporary stop on the westbound side of 19th Street following the game
In honor of our country's independence day, the Rainiers will be wearing specialty red, white and blue jerseys. These jerseys will be auctioned off during the game to benefit the Limbs for Life Organization - a global nonprofit organization dedicated to providing fully functional prosthetic care for individuals who cannot otherwise afford it and raising awareness of the challenges facing amputees. 20 minutes after the game, the jerseys will be autographed by the players wearing them and given to auction winners. 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit Limbs for Life.
The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by a limb recipient from the Limbs for Life Organization. Savannah Stevenson will be singing our national anthem. Immediately following the game, fans will have access to the field at Cheney Stadium to enjoy the fireworks extravaganza. Foul territory down both the left and right field lines will be opened up for fans to bring blankets down to and watch from the professional baseball field. No food or beverage will be allowed on field.
