OKLAHOMA CITY - Mike Zunino and Stefen Romero each turned in two-hit efforts as the Tacoma Rainiers fell to the Oklahoma City RedHawks 3-1 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on Thursday night.

Romero and Zunino combined to record four of the Rainiers six total hits in the contest. Zunino went 2-for-4 with a double, and the outfielder Romero ended the night 2-for-4 after notching a pair of singles. Of the 22 hits Zunino has produced this season, 20 have now been collected on the road.

Oklahoma City took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning after third baseman Brandon Laird scored on Andrew Simunic's infield single.

Tacoma's deficit grew to three runs following a two-run inning from the RedHawks in the bottom sixth. Brett Wallace drove in Jake Elmore with a double, and Laird lined a single that plated Wallace one at-bat later for the second.

The Rainiers lone run arrived in the top of the ninth when Zunino scored from third base on a ground out hit by first baseman Rich Poythress.

Starter Blake Beavan fell to 0-2 with the Rainiers this season after surrendering three runs - two earned - on five hits over 5.2 innings. The right-hander struck out two without issuing a walk.

Right-handed relievers Logan Bawcom (1.1 IP) and Andrew Kittredge (1.0 IP) held the RedHawks to two hits over a combined 2.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
