Rain Postpones Shuckers and Smokies on Friday Night

KODAK, TN. - Friday night's scheduled game between the Biloxi Shuckers and Tennessee Smokies at Smokies Stadium has been postponed by rain and will be made up as part of a Sunday doubleheader. The Shuckers and Smokies will play a single game on Saturday night, with first pitch set for 6:05 pm CT. Sunday's twin bill will feature two seven inning contests, with first pitch of game one set for 1:05 pm CT and the second game will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

The Shuckers are currently in the middle of a season-long 13-game road trip and will return to MGM Park, one week from today, May 27, against the Mobile BayBears.

The Shuckers and Smokies will play game two of the five-game series on Saturday night RHP Adrian Houser (2-4, 7.18) makes his eighth start of the season for Biloxi against the Cubs' top pitching prospect RHP Duane Underwood Jr. (0-1, 4.76) for Tennessee. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m., with coverage starting at 5:45 p.m. on the Biloxi Shuckers' Radio Network's flagship station WGCM 1240 AM, 100.9 FM, Pascagoula's WPMO 1580 AM and the TuneIn Radio app. The contest can also be seen on milb.tv.

The Shuckers return to MGM Park, May 27-June 4 to face the Mobile BayBears (3) and Mississippi Braves (5). The homestand will feature a special appearance by the Fur Circus on Friday, May 27th, Post-Game Fireworks on Saturday, May 28th, McDonald's Family Fun Day and Military Appreciation Day on Sunday, May 29th, Gautier and Vancleave Community Night on Tuesday, May 31st, Double Play Thursday $2 ballpark favorites on Thursday, Biloxi Shuckers T-Shirt Giveaway, presented by the Mississippi National Guard on Friday, June 3rd and another Post-Game Fireworks Show on Saturday, June 4th.
