LAST TIME OUT: Eric Witzel scored in the first period, Brad Barone made 32 saves on 33 shots and the Rail Yard Dawgs beat the Huntsville Havoc in a shootout, 2-1, Saturday night at Berglund Center. Colin Murray and Matt Beer each scored the shootout and Barone stopped four of five attempts to secure the win.

WE'RE GOING STREAKING!: Roanoke's win over Huntsville on Saturday was its sixth in a row, extending the longest winning streak in franchise history. The Rail Yard Dawgs have outscored their opponents a combined 26-11 during the life of the streak. Roanoke has not lost since it fell to Knoxville at home on February 2, 3-2.

PENALTY ASSASSINS: The Rail Yard Dawgs went 2-for-2 on the penalty kill on Saturday night, continuing a recent trend of strong play on the PK. Roanoke is now 42 for its last 44 in killing off penalties, a stretch that has spanned 12 games.

WE ARE ALL WITZ-NESSES: Eric Witzel put up five goals and two assists over the Dawgs three wins last weekend and for his efforts was named the SPHL's player of the week. He scored a goal in the first period of Saturday's 2-1 shootout win and now has points in each of his last six games. Witzel has put up seven goals and four assists during the point streak.

STRONG UNDER BREMNER: Roanoke's win on Saturday pushed its record under head coach Dan Bremner to 12-8-1.

PACK YOUR BAGS: Sunday's game is the first of seven straight that the Rail Yard Dawgs will play away from home. Roanoke will not play on Berglund Center ice again until March 15. The Dawgs are 6-8-2 on the road and 11-11-1 at home this season.

SHOOTOUT SKILLS: Roanoke's shootout win on Saturday pushed its record in shootouts to 5-0 and its overall overtime record to 10-3. Brad Barone has been in net for four of the five shootouts and has stopped 17 of 19 attempts.

WORKING ON SUNDAY: Sunday's game is the second that the Rail Yard Dawgs will have played on a Sunday this season. Roanoke hosted Knoxville on New Year's Eve, which fell on a Sunday. The Ice Bears won that game, 4-1. This is the Dawgs' first Sunday matinee this season.

POWERED UP: The Rail Yard Dawgs went 1-for-4 on the power play on Saturday and now have power play goals in each of their last four games. Prior to those four games, Roanoke had not scored with the man advantage in four straight.

UP NEXT: Roanoke will hit the road once again for Southaven to take on the Mississippi RiverKings. Friday's puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM CST at Landers Center.
