LAST TIME OUT: Darius Cole scored twice, Phil Bronner had three assists and the Rail Yard Dawgs blew out the Huntsville Havoc, 6-2, Friday night at Berglund Center.

WE'RE GOING STREAKING!: Roanoke's win over Huntsville on Friday was its fifth in a row, extending the longest winning streak in franchise history. The Rail Yard Dawgs have outscored their opponents a combined 24-10 during the life of the streak.

HOME ICE ADVANTAGE: The Rail Yard Dawgs have been stellar on home ice since the calendar flipped to 2018, going 7-2-0 in their nine home games thus far. During the 2017 portion of the season, Roanoke was just 3-9-1 at Berglund Center.

WE ARE ALL WITZ-NESSES: Eric Witzel put up five goals and two assists over the Dawgs three wins last weekend and for his efforts was named the SPHL's player of the week. He recorded two assists in Roanoke's 6-2 win on Friday and now has points in each of his last five games. Witzel has put up six goals and four assists during the point streak

PENALTY ASSASSINS: The Rail Yard Dawgs went 4-for-4 on the penalty kill on Friday night, continuing a recent trend of strong play on the PK. Roanoke is now 40 for its last 42 in killing off penalties, a stretch that has spanned 11 games.

STRONG UNDER BREMNER: Roanoke's win on Saturday pushed its record under head coach Dan Bremner to 11-8-1.

STAY HOT: Colin Murray scored on the power play in the first period on Friday, his fourth goal in four games since returning from a nearly two-month stint in the ECHL. Murray has four goals and four assists in the current stretch and nine goals and three assists in 18 total games for Roanoke.

PACK YOUR BAGS: Saturday night's game is the last that the Dawgs will play at home until March 15. Each of Roanoke's next seven games will take place on the road.

POINTS IN BUNCHES: The Rail Yard Dawgs got big contributions from all over the scoresheet on Friday as six players registered multi-point games. 11 of the 15 Roanoke skaters picked up a point in the 6-2 win, headlined by Phil Bronner's three assists and Darius Cole's two goals.

POWERED UP: The Rail Yard Dawgs went 2-for-8 on the power play on Friday, their second straight game with two power play goals and third straight with at least one. Prior to that, Roanoke had not scored with the man advantage in four straight.

UP NEXT: Roanoke finishes its weekend of three games in three days with a Sunday matinee in Knoxville against the Ice Bears. Puck drop is scheduled for 3:00 PM at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum.
