LAST TIME OUT: James Kruger stopped 50 of the 53 shots he faced, five Rail Yard Dawgs recorded multi-point games and Roanoke defeated the Mississippi RiverKings, 6-3, Friday night at the Berglund Center. Colin Murray had two goals and an assist in his first game back from ECHL loan.

THE OTHER GUYS: The Cottonmouths enter Saturday's game in last place in the SPHL with 13 standings points and having lost five straight games. Columbus has scored a league-low 45 goals over its 23 games and averages just under two a game. Saturday's game is the first ever between Columbus and Roanoke and the first of five between the Dawgs and the Cottonmouths this season.

BUSY IN NET: James Kruger faced 53 shots and made 50 saves during Friday's 6-3 win over the RiverKings. 53 shots were the most the Rail Yard Dawgs have allowed in a game this season, eclipsing the 48 that the Huntsville Havoc totaled during a 3-2 overtime loss for the Dawgs on 11/5. Kruger's 50 saves were also a Roanoke season-high, passing the 45 saves that Ryan de Melo made in that OT loss to the Havoc.

MAS POINTS: Massimo Lamacchia had two assists during Friday's 6-3 win over Mississippi and now has points in each of his last four games and five of his last six. Lamacchia has eight points (1 G, 7 A) over the four-game point streak and is now second on the team with 20 points (9 G, 11 A).

OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION: The Rail Yard Dawgs put up six goals on Friday, their highest offensive output of the season. Roanoke bested its previous season-high of five goals in a 5-3 win at Evansville on 10/29. The Dawgs scored four of their six goals in the second period, also setting a season-high for goals in a single period. Roanoke had previously scored three in a period four times, most recently in the first period of a 6-3 loss to Huntsville on 12/3.

A SHORTY SURRENDERED: Mississippi's Corey Tyrell scored a shorthanded goal on Friday, the first shorthanded goal allowed by the Dawgs this season.

BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK: The Rail Yard Dawgs are in the midst of a three games in three days stretch for the first time this season. Roanoke hosted Mississippi at the Berglund Center on Thursday and Friday before traveling to Columbus to see the Cottonmouths on Saturday.

OFFENSIVE MILESTONES: Mike Driscoll had a goal and an assist on Friday for his first SPHL multi-point game. Mike Moroso scored twice, his first career two-goal game. A season-high five Rail Yard Dawgs had multi-point games in the 6-3 win.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN: Saturday's game is the first road game for the Rail Yard Dawgs since a 3-2 overtime loss in Fayetteville on 12/27. Roanoke just completed a six-game homestand during which it went 3-2-1. The Dawgs are 2-5-1 on the road this season

UP NEXT: Roanoke will return home to host the Knoxville Ice Bears on Friday at 7:05 PM.
